The two artists had previously collaborated on a remix of Carey’s “Oh Santa” alongside Jennifer Hudson in 2020.

Prepare for another collaboration between Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey.

In a social media announcement on Wednesday, Grande revealed a remix of her latest single “Yes, And?” featuring Carey, scheduled for release on Friday, describing the collaboration as a “dream come true.”

“i cannot believe the words i am typing,” wrote the 30-year-old Wicked star alongside the cover artwork for the remix, which depicts herself and the 54-year-old Carey posing side-by-side in matching all-black outfits as they gaze directly into the camera.

Grande continued, “Yes, And? Remix feat the one and only, queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration @mariahcarey is out this Friday !!!!!!!!!!!”

The “Thank U, Next” performer expressed her exhilaration about teaming up with the Songbird Supreme. “there truly are no words that suffice,” she wrote. “thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dream come true and for sprinkling your brilliance and magic on my little song @mariahcarey.”

“it means more to me than i could ever possibly articulate and i cannot wait for everyone to hear this,” concluded Grande’s note. “i love you eternally !!!!!!!”

Both artists teased the collaboration on Wednesday by updating their Instagram profile pictures to similar images of their respective eyes, which Grande shared to her Instagram Story before the official announcement.

The duo had previously joined forces in 2020 for a remix of Carey’s 2010 song “Oh Santa” featuring Jennifer Hudson on the soundtrack of Apple TV+’s Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.

All three singers performed the remix in the 2020 special, and later reunited in December 2023 to give its live debut at one of Carey’s Merry Christmas One and All! concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The original rendition of “Yes, And?” hit the airwaves last month as the lead single from Grande’s upcoming album “Eternal Sunshine,” slated for release on March 8. The track, which stormed the charts by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, sees the star dismissing detractors and embracing self-assurance against a backdrop of sleek disco and house beats.

Grande recently informed her fans that she won’t be dropping any more singles before the full album release. However, she hinted at “a little surprise or two” in store for listeners — and it seems that Carey’s remix of “Yes, And?” is one of them.

“i wanted to say… as hard as it is to resist the urge to share another song or single with you all asap, i would really love for you to experience the album in full this time,” the Sweetener musician shared on Instagram earlier this month.

Grande wrote, “… waiting a little longer for you to be able to listen fully through first really is my ideal way for you all to experience this body of work.”

“thank you for your trust in my vision and plan!” she continued. “you have waited so long for new music from me and i am so grateful for your patience! I look forward to savoring every single moment of this new era with you all and i sincerely cannot wait for it to be yours!”
