Adam Levine Shares His Reaction to Reuniting with High School Classmate Kate Hudson on The Voice

Adam Levine and Kate Hudson are reuniting in a big way!
The Running Point actress, 45, will be joining Season 27 of The Voice as a battle advisor for Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, also 45.
During a March 4 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Levine shared his thoughts on Hudson joining Team Adam for the reality competition.
When asked if he knew about Hudson’s singing abilities, the This Love singer jokingly responded, “She’s so annoying. She can, like, do everything.”

When asked if she had always expected him to become a rock star, Hudson hesitated before answering.
“Yeah! You know, he loved it. His first band was always playing somewhere. Watching his success unfold and now getting to do this with him—it feels both familiar and surreal,” she said.
In May 2024, Hudson dropped her debut album, Glorious, a genre-blending project that had been in the works for years.
Created in collaboration with Linda Perry of 4 Non Blondes, producer Johan Carlsson, and her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, the album reflects Hudson’s long-standing passion for music.
Speaking about the project in April 2024, she shared, “When I talk about where this album comes from—the years I’ve spent quietly making music and living inside these songs—I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop. I’m just excited that so many brilliant people want to discuss Glorious and the journey of creating my first record.”
In a May 2024 PEOPLE cover story, the Glass Onion actress opened up about finally stepping into the world of rock music.
“Music was my first love,” she revealed. “This has been a lifetime in the making.”
Though she found early success in acting, music had always been a deep-rooted passion.
“So making a record or pursuing music took a backseat to everything else happening in my career at the time,” Hudson admitted. “But I never lost sight of what I love.”
In the end, she realized that not making an album would be one of her biggest regrets.
“I’ve never lived my life by sticking to the status quo,” she explained. “I’ve always made fearless choices—whether in relationships or my career—but this was the one thing that truly scared me. Then something just shifted in my mind, and I thought, ‘I’m just going to do it. F— it.’”
