Adele felt the love from a fellow music icon during her latest concert!
The 36-year-old “Easy on Me” singer became emotional upon spotting Céline Dion in the audience at her Las Vegas residency show on Saturday, October 26.
In a video shared by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), Adele was performing “When We Were Young” when she approached Dion, 56, who was seated in a box at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Tears filled Adele’s eyes as the two embraced for several seconds. She then spoke briefly to Dion while the Canadian singer cupped Adele’s face in her hands. Dion held and kissed Adele’s hand as the British singer waved to those nearby before sharing a few more words with Dion and continuing her performance.
A closer angle of the heartfelt moment, also shared on X, captured Adele getting emotional as she approached and hugged Dion, with tears visible on her cheeks as she walked away. In the clip, Dion looked equally moved while embracing and speaking to her fellow music icon. Another video showed Dion sitting back down after their touching exchange, dabbing her eyes.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer seemed to be accompanied by two of her sons, Nelson and Eddy Angélil, 14, who comforted their mother after the emotional encounter. One clip posted on X showed Adele walking away from Dion, continuing to sing the track while wiping her tear-stained face.
The emotional meeting between the powerhouse singers in Vegas marked a full-circle moment for both, as Adele had previously attended one of Dion’s concerts at the same theater a few years earlier.
In January 2018, Adele visited Dion backstage after a performance at the Colosseum during the “Power of Love” singer’s second Vegas residency.
Dion shared her excitement on Instagram, saying, “Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them… I love her so much!!”
Superfan Adele also took to Instagram to express her gratitude, writing, “Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life, thank you so much for the attention to your crowd and insane humor. Happy New Year, lady x.”
“It’s pretty amazing,” the singer shared in the clip. “James Corden—who’s a friend of mine and hosts Carpool Karaoke, which I did—did one with her. He knew how much of a fan I am, so he had her spit her gum into a piece of paper, and she framed it for me.”
Adele is scheduled to wrap up her two-year Vegas residency in November. During a concert in Munich in September, the 16-time Grammy winner revealed that she plans to take a break from music for a “long time” after her residency concludes.
