Britney Spears is standing up for Justin Bieber after he came under fire for featuring family moments in his Swag II promo campaign.
In a series of black-and-white images released ahead of the album’s Sept. 5 launch, Bieber, 31, poses shirtless in jeans layered over sweatpants while holding his one-year-old son, Jack Blues. In the photos, Jack’s back is turned to the camera. Bieber shares his toddler with wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber.
On Sept. 9, Spears, 43, reposted one of the promotional shots to Instagram, writing: “Shame on those who judged my home in my pajamas!!! I’m in love with this picture!!! So, so beautiful!!! 📷: @lilbieber.”
Bieber often shares glimpses of life with his son on social media, always taking care not to reveal Jack’s face. On Sept. 8, the Grammy winner uploaded photos of himself kayaking with Jack, both of them facing away from the camera. In the pictures, Bieber wears a red beanie with a matching sweatshirt and sweatpants, while Jack sits on his lap as they look out over the water.
Alongside the sweet shots, the Peaches singer also posted a couple of selfies in the same outfit, captioned simply with a cherry emoji.
Spears’ supportive post comes not long after she publicly reflected on her marriage to Sam Asghari. In an Aug. 24 Instagram caption—since deleted—the pop icon shared: “We’re just people, so fragile and human. The hardest years of my life were my two sons gone for those three years… I was cut off from calling or texting. I remember in shock my secret to survival was denial and a lot of tears. It’s weird—me and Sam were married, but it almost felt like a fake distraction to help me deal with it…”
Spears, who co-parents sons Jayden James and Sean Preston with ex-husband Kevin Federline, was married to Asghari for 14 months. He filed for divorce in August 2023, and the split was finalized in May 2024.
