Cher and Jimmy Fallon Dress as Turkeys for a Thanksgiving ‘Gobble Medley’ Performance as “The Turkettes”

The duo performed a mashup of Cher’s hits, hilariously replacing every lyric with turkey sounds.
“Alexa, play Gobble Medley by Cher and Jimmy Fallon!”
Cher, 78, and Jimmy Fallon, 50, delivered a comedic Thanksgiving treat on the Nov. 28 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Dressed in matching full-body turkey costumes, the duo kicked off the show with a playful performance.
Calling themselves “The Turkettes,” they sang a mashup of Cher’s iconic hits—each lyric humorously swapped out for turkey sounds.
Complete with vibrant red, orange, and yellow feathers, turkey headpieces, oversized feathered wings, and talon-shaped slippers, Cher and Jimmy Fallon transformed into Thanksgiving turkeys for their performance.
The Gobble Medley opened with a playful rendition of “I Got You Babe,” Cher’s 1965 hit with Sonny Bono. Though the new lyrics consisted only of “gobble” and “bawk,” the melody was instantly recognizable to the audience.
The mashup continued with energetic takes on “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Believe,” Cher’s iconic hits from 1989 and 1998, adding a humorous twist to the Thanksgiving-themed performance.
As the performance continued, Fallon and Cher had difficulty continuing their singing due to laughter.
“Give it up for Cher, everyone!” Fallon exclaimed at the conclusion of the performance, gesturing toward the audience with a dramatic wave and adding, “Happy Thanksgiving!”
Cher has recently released the first volume of her memoir, titled Cher, which details her life and career up until her relocation to New York. The book covers her family background, her move to Los Angeles, her meeting with future husband and fellow performer Bono, and the beginnings of The Sonny and Cher Show.
