A representative for Justin Bieber has dismissed claims that he’s facing financial troubles after canceling his tour in 2022.
According to a source who spoke with PEOPLE, those who were once close to Justin Bieber are expressing growing concern over his current well-being.
“He’s wrestling with a lot right now,” the source shared. “He’s been making some questionable choices that are straining his relationships, finances, and professional partnerships.”
The insider added plainly: “There’s genuine worry about him.”
Among the pressures weighing on Bieber are his past ties to Sean “Diddy” Combs—who is facing a looming trial—and his deteriorating connection with longtime manager Scooter Braun, who officially stepped away from artist management in 2024.
In addition, Bieber has recently cut ties with his fashion label Drew House. In a since-deleted Instagram Story posted on April 10, he announced, “I, Justin Bieber, am no longer involved with this brand. Drew House doesn’t reflect who I am, my family, or my life.” He also advised fans not to spend money on it if they support him as a person.
Currently, the two-time Grammy winner is preparing to debut a new fashion venture called SKYLRK.
This latest development follows remarks from a former member of Justin Bieber’s team, who described the pop star as “lost” in a Hollywood Reporter article published on April 16.
“It’s heartbreaking to watch him unravel like this,” the ex-team member said. “It’s like seeing someone drift away from their purpose. He’s surrounded by people who won’t challenge him — no one’s stepping in to set boundaries. If you say no, you’re gone.”
Sources cited in the THR piece also alleged that Bieber was left facing millions in debt after calling off his Justice Tour in 2022.
In response, Bieber’s representative issued a firm rebuttal in a statement to PEOPLE, dismissing the claims. “This is nothing more than clickbait nonsense coming from unnamed, clearly misinformed sources who are bitter about no longer being involved with Justin,” the rep said. “As Justin continues to move forward on his own terms, stories like this will keep popping up — but they won’t distract him from staying focused and doing what’s right.”
This news follows a series of introspective posts Justin Bieber has shared on social media in recent weeks. On March 13, he opened up on Instagram Stories about struggling with feelings of imposter syndrome.
“People have always said, ‘Justin, you deserve this,’” he wrote. “But I’ve never really felt that way. It made me feel like a fraud—like if they only knew what was really going on in my head.”
Just over a week later, on March 22, Bieber posted a close-up of himself in a hoodie alongside a childhood photo, using the caption to address personal growth and emotional challenges. “I’ve got anger issues too,” he admitted. “But I’m trying to work on it and stop reacting so much. Smh 🤦♂️.”
