Fergie Revisits ‘London Bridge’ Two Decades Later—This Time at the Right U.K. Landmark

Fergie is finally giving “London Bridge” the tribute it deserves—two decades after the original video was filmed in the U.K.
The “Glamorous” hitmaker, now 50, revisited the song with a newly shot version of the music video for Netflix’s upcoming series Too Much. This updated take features comedian Megan Stalter alongside Fergie as they explore the real London Bridge—though the reaction was a bit underwhelming.
“Now you see why we didn’t film here the first time,” Fergie joked in the clip, which flashes back to her 2006 video—famously filmed at the more iconic Tower Bridge, often mistaken for its less dramatic counterpart.
Fergie and Megan Stalter, 34, bring a playful energy to the reimagined “London Bridge” music video, dancing atop the actual London Bridge, dodging paparazzi, and enjoying cups of tea throughout. In a standout moment, Hacks star Stalter mimics Fergie’s signature moves in front of the stoic King’s Guard—until she’s hilariously “arrested” for her antics.
In true full-circle fashion, the Tower Bridge—mistakenly featured in the original 2006 video—appears again, this time in the background of several shots. The updated video wraps with scenes from Lena Dunham’s upcoming Netflix series Too Much, which stars Stalter and is set in London.
Directed by Mia Barnes, the new version breathes fresh life into Fergie’s iconic hit. Reflecting on the experience, the 50-year-old singer said in a press statement, “As an American girl who once had her own adventures in London while filming the original video for ‘London Bridge,’ I felt an instant connection to this project.”
Fergie added, “With Lena Dunham writing and directing the show and the amazing Megan Stalter leading it—about a fellow American navigating London—it all felt creatively aligned. I couldn’t say no.”
Dunham had a specific vision in mind: “‘London Bridge’ was the only song she imagined kicking off the series,” Fergie shared. “I was so honored.”
“So off we went to London to redo the video—this time at the actual, though slightly more chaotic, London Bridge. And honestly, what could be more ‘too much’ than filming a new version of a video you already made?”
Fergie also reflected on what drew her to remake the video now. “I loved the idea—especially at this stage of my life—of being a bit sillier, more carefree, and just embracing the fun,” she said. “Let’s take the piss out of it, as the Brits would say.”
Too Much centers on Stalter’s character Jessica, “a work-obsessed New Yorker who moves to London after a tough breakup, only to find unexpected romance with Felix, an indie musician,” according to the official series description.
