Hozier Postpones Shows While Recovering from Recent Virus: ‘It Breaks My Heart to Do This’

“My voice just isn’t getting the chance it needs to recover properly,” the ‘Take Me to Church’ singer told fans in a social media post

Hozier is postponing a couple of tour dates so he can focus on getting better.

On Monday, Aug. 26, the singer, 34, whose real name is Andrew Hozier-Byrne, announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he’d made the difficult decision to briefly pause his Unreal Unearth tour so he could recover from a recent virus.

He’d been due to take the stage at the First Interstate Arena in Billings, Montana on Tuesday, Aug. 27, before heading to perform at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming on Wednesday, Aug. 28. However, Hozier confirmed both shows would now be taking place at a later date.

Prior to pushing back the two shows, he’d performed at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada on Saturday, Aug. 24.
