Jennifer Hudson and Orville Peck to Receive Honorary GLAAD Awards at N.Y.C. Ceremony

The 35th annual GLAAD Media Awards will take place on Saturday, May 11

Jennifer Hudson and Orville Peck are getting their flowers.

On Saturday, May 11 in New York City, the pair are set to receive honorary awards from GLAAD, the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, per a press release.

Hudson, 42, is set to receive GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award, which according to the press release, is “presented to allies who have made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people.”

Previous Excellence in Media Award honorees include Maren Morris, Judith Light, Ava DuVernay, Patti LaBelle, Debra Messing, Tyra Banks, Julianne Moore, Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer and more
