In a post-show interview with Access Hollywood, the 55-year-old singer and actress addressed her much-talked-about opening performance—which featured a high-energy medley and a few unexpected kisses with her backup dancers.

The conversation shifted when the outlet brought up comedian Tiffany Haddish’s playful reaction to the steamy number, joking that she wanted to go “manhunting” alongside Lopez. Laughing, Lopez responded, “She really said that! I told her, ‘Girl, I’m not out here looking for a man. I’m in a good place. I’m not trying to mess that up, alright?’”

Haddish, 45, had followed Lopez’s dynamic set at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas with her own comedic monologue, hyping up the night’s host.

“Can we talk about how iconic it is to have J.Lo hosting the AMAs?” Haddish asked the audience. She even cheekily suggested renaming the event the “JMAs” in Lopez’s honor.

Reflecting on the fast-paced opener—where Lopez performed an impressive 23 songs in just six minutes—Haddish added, “Jenny from the Block got all her steps in today—and all her kisses too! Save one of those dancers for me, J.Lo. You’re not the only single one out here!”
