Jennifer Lopez Takes the Stage with “Rebound” from This Is Me… Now Album at Apple Music Live Concert in LA

“Live performance is honestly my favorite thing,” Lopez revealed in an interview with Apple Music, discussing her latest ninth studio album.
Jennifer Lopez is set to bring her latest album, This Is Me… Now, to life on stage.
Following the release of her ninth studio album and its accompanying Amazon original musical film, the multi-talented 54-year-old superstar is gearing up to deliver the inaugural live performances of its tracks in an upcoming Apple Music Live concert special.
PEOPLE exclusively unveils Lopez’s rendition of “Rebound” from This Is Me… Now, performed at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles for the upcoming live special. The event is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. PT on Apple Music and Apple TV+.
Alongside “Rebound,” the special will feature Lopez presenting new tracks like “This Is Me… Now,” “Hearts and Flowers,” and “Greatest Love Story Never Told,” alongside classics such as “Jenny from the Block,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” and “If You Had My Love.”
Despite achieving chart-topping hits and success on the big screen with films ranging from Selena to Hustlers, Lopez shared in a recent interview with Apple Music host Ebro that her preferred form of entertainment is hitting the stage.
“People often ask me, ‘Oh, you enjoy acting, you enjoy making movies, but what’s your favorite thing?’ Honestly, my favorite thing is live performance,” expressed Lopez.
“First of all, I love people. I love looking into their faces and really observing their eyes, understanding what they’re trying to convey,” added the musician. “Whether they’re laughing, screaming, crying, jumping up and down, dancing, or simply listening intently, there’s such a profound connection there.”
J. Lo will have the opportunity to deepen her bond with fans through her upcoming This Is Me… Now the Tour, a series of 34 arena concerts across North America scheduled for this summer in support of her latest album.
This Is Me… Now the Tour marks Lopez’s return to large-scale concerts since her 2019 It’s My Party Tour, which amassed over $50 million from 37 dates.
The new album from the “Dance Again” singer, a follow-up to her 2002 release This Is Me… Then, along with its accompanying film, delves into her love life and the path to reigniting her relationship with husband Ben Affleck.
During the Apple Music interview, Lopez disclosed her motivation for sharing personal insights with fans, particularly about her romantic endeavors, even those that didn’t endure.
“I always hold onto hope, even during the toughest times. It’s just a part of who I am. When this unexpected twist happened in my life, it felt like a surreal, magical turn of events,” she expressed. “Having a second chance at this love made me want to share that feeling. It inspired me to share that sense of hope. As an artist, you want to convey the things you’ve experienced.”
She continued, “While I adore making music and movies and engaging in all the projects you see, I also view life through that lens. I strive to make life beautiful for myself, my children, my husband, and everyone around me, in my own small way.”
