Jessie J Removes Rowdy Fans From Concert After Fight Erupts: “Get Them an Uber — I’ll Pay”

The singer paused her set at England’s Party in the Paddock festival on Aug. 15 to try to calm a fight that had erupted among concertgoers.
Jessie J stepped in when a fight broke out among concertgoers during her performance in England, eventually asking security to remove the disruptive fans from the venue.
The “Price Tag” singer was performing at Party in the Paddock at Newbury Racecourse on Aug. 15 when tensions erupted in the audience. Footage from the show captured Jessie pausing her performance and asking the crowd to remain calm while she tried to settle the situation.
Jessie initially urged those involved to take a step back and cool down, suggesting that alcohol and tempers had contributed to the confrontation. She also pointed out that children were nearby and criticized the decision to become physically aggressive in front of them.
When her attempt to calm everyone down failed, Jessie decided the best solution was to have the disruptive concertgoers escorted away.
She reminded security that many attendees had paid to enjoy the performance and asked that the people involved in the altercation be taken out so the show could continue. In a humorous gesture, she even offered to pay for an Uber to get them home.
Jessie then appeared to instruct security to make sure the ejected fans had water and sunscreen before returning her attention to the performance. She subsequently continued the show with her song “Who’s Laughing Now.”
Fans online applauded the singer for taking control of the situation. Some praised her for being firm but composed, while others jokingly described her response as Jessie putting on her “mom hat.”
The incident comes shortly after Jessie revealed that she and her longtime partner, former professional basketball player Chanan Safir Colman, had ended their romantic relationship.
The couple announced their split in a joint social media statement on July 20. Jessie explained that they had made the decision some time earlier and had been working privately to adjust to the change while maintaining a positive co-parenting relationship.
The former couple, who share a 3-year-old son named Sky, emphasized that they remain committed to supporting one another as friends and, above all, as parents. Jessie also noted that fans may still see them together publicly or appearing on each other’s social media because they continue to spend time together as a family.
