Joe Jonas admits that he does read fan signs during his concerts — and says he gets “easily distracted” when the messages are a little on the PG-13 side.

If you’ve ever dreamed of catching Joe Jonas’ attention at a Jonas Brothers concert, it might not be as hard as you think.
In a recent chat with SiriusXM Hits 1 Miami with Mack & Jen, the 36-year-old singer revealed that he often reads the signs fans wave during shows — even the more suggestive, PG-13 ones — while performing with his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas.
Joe said he tends to spot these signs when he films the crowd with his camera. Though he tries not to capture the racier messages on video, he doesn’t mind them.
“I think it’s all in good fun,” he explained. “You’re at a concert — get creative and enjoy yourself.”
According to the “Cake by the Ocean” artist, his habit of scanning fan signs began when the band started letting audiences choose songs during part of their set.
“We have a section about four songs into the show where fans decide what we play,” Joe said. “We like to hear their reasons and connect with them a bit. So early on, I’m reading the signs, seeing what people are asking for.”
When asked whether this ever distracts him mid-performance, Joe admitted it does. “You’ll catch me laughing sometimes,” he confessed.
Nick, 33, backed up his brother’s admission, calling Joe the one who’s “most easily distracted on stage.”
The Jonas Brothers are currently traveling across the country on their JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour, which kicked off on August 10 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Throughout the tour, they’ve brought out surprise guests in different cities, including Demi Lovato, Fifth Harmony, Jesse McCartney, JoJo, Plain White T’s, Hanson, and All Time Low.
As the trio marks their 20th anniversary together, Joe says he’s grateful to still be doing what he loves.
“Two decades in, and we’re still getting to make music and play for fans who’ve stuck with us,” he told PEOPLE in June. “Their support is what keeps us going.”
