A JoJo Siwa fan is speaking out after claims that the pop star asked her to leave a recent concert because of an unintentionally offensive hoodie.
The situation reportedly unfolded during Siwa’s Infinity Heart Tour stop in Glasgow, Scotland, on Oct. 1, when the fan attended the show wearing a hoodie that depicted the 22-year-old performer photoshopped as an egg — an image that some interpreted as mocking her hairline.
The fan, who goes by Anjali on TikTok, explained that she and her friend brought the hoodie as a lighthearted joke, not realizing it might be hurtful.
“Me and my best friend were originally going to see JoJo as a joke, but then we actually started to really like her,” Anjali wrote in a TikTok post shared on Oct. 4. “I was honestly so excited to see her because she seems like such a cool person!”
Anjali went on to clarify that she and her friend had no idea about the meme’s background or that it could upset the singer.
“We didn’t know the backstory or that it might be a trigger for her — if we had, we never would’ve done it,” she said, emphasizing that there was no ill intent behind their actions.

Anjali, the fan at the center of the recent JoJo Siwa concert controversy, explained that she hadn’t planned to offend anyone — she simply thought the singer would appreciate her sense of humor.
According to Anjali, she didn’t have any official merch to wear to Siwa’s Infinity Heart Tour stop in Glasgow and assumed a hoodie referencing a viral meme would make the performer laugh.
“I’ve been to other concerts where artists think stuff like that is hilarious,” she said. “It’s pretty common for people to bring something funny, like a picture or a sign.”
However, things took a turn when she was unexpectedly asked to leave the venue. Anjali recalled calling her mother while on the verge of a panic attack and claimed that venue staff didn’t offer assistance. Soon after, videos from the concert began circulating online, drawing widespread attention and sparking debate across social media.
In one clip posted to TikTok, Siwa could be seen addressing the situation directly from the stage.
“You’re not going to come to my concert and bring a hoodie making fun of me. No way!” she said to the crowd. “Thank you for coming, I appreciate it — but we’ve only got room for infinity hearts in here. Not in my house, baby.”
The “Karma” singer has previously opened up about being bullied over her hairline, describing it as one of her biggest insecurities. She revealed earlier this year that the criticism often targeted that specific feature on social media.
In July, Siwa shared a vulnerable moment with fans after her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, complimented her appearance — a comment that moved her to tears.
“I was drying my hair, and he said, ‘You have a really good hairline,’” Siwa recalled in an emotional video. “That’s the number one thing I was bullied for as a kid.”
