“I was only planning to enjoy the show from the VIP section,” Timberlake joked while joining Toliver onstage during the OCTANE Tour stop at Kaseya Center.
The 45-year-old Grammy winner appeared onstage Saturday, Aug. 22, during Don Toliver’s OCTANE Tour stop at Miami’s Kaseya Center. The surprise guest joined the “E85” singer near the end of his set for a performance of Timberlake’s 2002 hit “Rock Your Body.”
Before Timberlake’s appearance, rapper Key Glock had also surprised the audience by taking the stage to perform “Ambition for Cash.”
An Instagram video showed Timberlake enjoying most of Toliver’s concert from the VIP area before making his way onto the stage. After performing “Rock Your Body,” the former *NSYNC member remained for Toliver’s rendition of “Body,” a track that incorporates a sample from Timberlake’s song.
“I just wanted to watch the show from the VIP,” Timberlake quipped to the crowd.
The Miami appearance was Timberlake’s first live performance since January, when he performed a medley of his hits, including “Rock Your Body” and “Señorita,” at the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective celebration honoring Pharrell Williams with the Dr. Dre Impact Award.
Timberlake previously completed his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in July 2025. Around that time, he publicly shared that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
The singer explained that he decided to discuss his diagnosis not to gain sympathy, but to raise awareness about the difficulties he had been experiencing privately. He described the condition as capable of causing severe physical and mental exhaustion.
Timberlake also admitted that the diagnosis initially came as a surprise. However, it eventually helped him make sense of symptoms he had experienced while performing, including intense nerve pain, extreme fatigue and periods of feeling unwell.
