Kelly Clarkson Delivers a Flawless Cover of Billie Eilish’s Grammy-Nominated ‘Birds of a Feather’ on Kellyoke

“Birds of a Feather” received three nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards, which will take place in Los Angeles on February 2.
Kelly Clarkson and Billie Eilish make a perfect duo.
On January 29, the Grammy-winning American Idol star wowed audiences with a cover of Eilish’s Grammy-nominated track “Birds of a Feather” during the Kellyoke segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson showcased her trademark powerhouse vocals, leaving listeners in awe.
Dressed in a simple red blouse and pants, Clarkson’s rendition of Eilish’s hit from the Hit Me Hard and Soft album stayed true to the original, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 last year.
“I don’t know what I’m crying for / I don’t think I could love you more / It might not be long, but baby, I / I’ll love you ’til the day that I die,” Clarkson sang with her band.
“Birds of a Feather” has earned three nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
In addition, Eilish received nominations for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her remix of Charli XCX’s “Guess,” Best Dance Pop Recording for “L’Amour de Ma Vie (Over Now Extended Edit),” and both Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Hit Me Hard and Soft.
The 2025 Grammy Awards will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, with the ceremony airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
Clarkson has previously performed covers of several Eilish songs during her Kellyoke segment, including “What Was I Made For?,” “Happier Than Ever,” “lovely,” “idontwannabeyouanymore,” and “My Future.”
Earlier this month, the “Miss Independent” singer shared insights into a new direction in her music career. “I just started my own label, and I’m releasing my own music,” she revealed during a conversation with Keke Palmer on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Reflecting on the experience, Clarkson said, “I’ve had great teams to work with, but there’s something special about being that 10-year-old again, feeling excited and not having anyone telling you, ‘You should do this’ or ‘You should do that.'” She added, “I feel like I’ve earned it, so I’m really excited. I think I’ve earned this moment.”
