Lady Gaga Brushes Off Mic Issue at Coachella Performance: ‘At Least You Know I’m Singing Live’

Lady Gaga handled an onstage glitch like a true professional!
While headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival for the second weekend at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., on Friday, April 18, the singer’s microphone malfunctioned during “Abracadabra,” the second song of her set, as shown in videos shared on social media.
At one point, before moving to another part of the stage, the 39-year-old singer switched to a handheld mic, replacing her headset microphone. Holding the mic in one hand and a cane in the other, she continued her performance seamlessly. Shortly after, she returned to the stage with a new headset.
Later in the show, while seated at the piano, Gaga addressed the technical issue. “Sorry about my mic being broken for a moment. At least you know I sing live,” she said, laughing. “I guess all we can do is our best, and I’m certainly giving you my best tonight.”
Gaga delivered an electrifying, nearly two-hour performance at Coachella during the festival’s first weekend on Friday, April 11. This headlining set marked her return to the event for the first time since stepping in for Beyoncé in 2017, when the singer was pregnant with twins.
Her Coachella performance showcased a mix of iconic songs from her career, including classics like “Judas” and “Poker Face,” alongside new hits from her latest album Mayhem, such as “Disease” and “How Bad Do U Want Me?”
Coachella is currently taking place from April 18 to April 20, with other headliners including Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott.
