Madonna Says Inspiration Comes Naturally When She Doesn’t “Force” the Creative Process, Teases Possible Kylie Minogue Collaboration.

Madonna made an appearance on BBC’s The Graham Norton Show on Friday, June 26, where she opened up about her upcoming project “Confessions II.”
Madonna and Kylie Minogue may be teaming up for a highly anticipated musical collaboration.
Minogue, known for her hit “Padam Padam,” appeared during Madonna’s interview on BBC’s The Graham Norton Show on Friday, June 26, where the two were asked about rumors that Kylie could be featured on Madonna’s upcoming album, “Confessions II.”
When host Graham Norton questioned whether Minogue’s involvement was confirmation of the speculation, Madonna, 67, playfully avoided giving a direct answer, saying it was part of her “job to be mysterious.” Minogue, 58, laughed and joked that Madonna was skilled at avoiding the question.
The two artists also looked back on their memorable performance together during Madonna’s Celebration Tour stop in Los Angeles in May 2024, where they performed Minogue’s iconic song “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” Minogue described the moment as something she truly enjoyed.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE in December, Minogue said the performance was something fans had been hoping for, adding that both artists had likely been waiting for the opportunity as well. She also shared that while they had not discussed recording together at the time, she would be open to collaborating with Madonna in the future.
During her conversation with Norton, Madonna also gave fans a glimpse into the creative process behind “Confessions II.” She explained that inspiration often arrives when she stops trying too hard, describing the experience as feeling almost like she becomes “possessed” by ideas.
When discussing her song “One Step Away,” Madonna said the track was created from a deeply personal place.
Aside from the possible Kylie Minogue collaboration, Madonna has also recently worked with Sabrina Carpenter on “Bring Your Love” and revealed that she wrote a song with her daughter Lourdes Leon.
