Musician Oliver Tree, 32, Dies Alongside Five Others in Fatal Mid-Air Helicopter Collision During World Tour

Oliver Tree has died following a tragic helicopter accident in Brazil.
The 32-year-old musician, best known for hit songs including “Life Goes On” and “Miss You,” was among six people killed when two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro on June 14. Authorities confirmed that both aircraft crashed after the midair collision, leaving no survivors.
Representatives for Tree did not immediately comment following reports of the incident.
According to officials from Rio de Janeiro’s Civil Police, investigators have launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Forensic teams examined the scene, while aviation experts from Brazil’s accident investigation agency were called in to assist with determining what led to the collision. Identification of the victims is being carried out through forensic analysis and official aviation records.
Authorities reported that five people were aboard one helicopter, while the second aircraft carried only its pilot. Among those who lost their lives were Argentine content creator Gaspar Prim, known online as Gaspi, along with Lucas Vignale and Lucas Brito Chaves. Pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac were also killed.
Emergency responders said one of the helicopters came down in the parking area of a vehicle dealership in Rio’s Recreio dos Bandeirantes district, triggering a fire that spread to numerous parked electric vehicles. Firefighters later brought the blaze under control.
At the time of his death, Tree was in the middle of an international tour. He had recently performed in São Paulo on June 6 and was scheduled to continue the tour with a concert in Lisbon, Portugal, on July 1. Additional dates were planned across Europe, North America, and Asia.
Known for his distinctive style and genre-blending music, Tree built a global fan base through viral hits and creative music videos. His sudden death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans around the world as authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash.
