Rihanna’s family is expanding once more!
The 37-year-old “Love on the Brain” artist and her partner A$AP Rocky are expecting their third child, which they shared during the 2025 Met Gala in New York City on Monday, May 5.
Photographer Miles Diggs broke the news on Instagram before the red carpet event, sharing a photo of the expectant singer in the rain, proudly showing off her baby bump.
A$AP Rocky, 36, who is serving as a co-chair for this year’s Met Gala, shared with reporters on the red carpet, including the Associated Press, that it “feels amazing” to be expecting another child with Rihanna. He added, “It’s time to show the world what we’ve been working on.”
He also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m glad everyone is happy for us because we’re definitely happy, you know.”
In a December 2023 interview with Page Six, Rihanna shared that her relationship with A$AP Rocky has grown even deeper since they became parents to their two sons, Riot Rose (21 months) and RZA Athelston (who turns 3 this month).
“I love him differently as a dad. This is huge, a real turn-on,” she said. “It’s just like, wow. What a leader, what a great, patient, loving person… and my kids are completely obsessed with him.”
In November 2023, when Complex asked Rocky if he would ever consider working with Rihanna on a project at Puma, where they both serve as creative directors for their respective lines, his response wasn’t focused on business.
“What could we team up and just like f—ing smash and go crazy on?” he mused.
But after a pause, he added, “I think we do a real great job at collaborating and making children. I think that’s our best creation so far. Nothing beats that.”
Rihanna is no stranger to announcing her pregnancies on major platforms, having revealed she was expecting her son, Riot, during her Super Bowl 2023 Halftime Show. This performance made history as the first time a pregnant woman headlined the halftime show.
She made the big reveal right at the start of her performance, subtly rubbing her stomach and leaving the zipper of her outfit—an ensemble consisting of a jumpsuit layered over a form-fitting bodysuit and sculpted bandeau—unzipped to showcase her growing baby bump.
Rihanna first shared that she was expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky in January 2022. After she was spotted debuting her baby bump in New York City, a source told PEOPLE that the singer was “excited to be a mom” and “couldn’t be happier.”
