The two have stayed good friends ever since their days together on the Disney Channel show.
During her New York City concert, Sabrina Carpenter playfully handcuffed her Girl Meets World co-star Corey Fogelmanis with a pair of pink fuzzy cuffs, “arresting” him onstage in a funny moment.
On Wednesday, October 29, the 26-year-old “Tears” singer continued her comedic concert routine of “arresting” audience members she deems “too hot.”
“I think I just found him,” Carpenter announced as she spotted Fogelmanis, also 26, in the crowd. “Oh s—, we’ve got to arrest him. He’s so pretty. I’m obsessed,” she said.
After asking for his name and where he was from, Carpenter added, “You’ve come such a long way to be here tonight. Are you single?”
When Fogelmanis responded, “No,” with a playful expression, Carpenter laughed and said, “Wow, no one’s ever actually said that before. I don’t really know what to do now except say, maybe this is our little secret — and you guys don’t tell anyone.”
“But Corey, just for tonight, can we have a little fun? Will you be my ‘Juno’ boy?” Sabrina Carpenter teased, as Corey Fogelmanis smiled and lifted his hands to be cuffed with the fluffy pink handcuffs.
Before she locked them on, Fogelmanis sweetly kissed Carpenter’s hand, earning cheers from the crowd. She then returned to the stage to perform her song “Juno,” featured on her 2024 album Short n’ Sweet.
Over the course of her tour, Carpenter has kept up her playful “arrest” tradition, previously handcuffing celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Emma Bunton, and Margaret Qualley.
Carpenter and Fogelmanis originally starred together in Girl Meets World, the Disney Channel sequel to the classic ABC sitcom Boy Meets World. The show aired from 2014 to 2017 and followed Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard), the daughter of Topanga and Cory Matthews (Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage). Carpenter portrayed Maya Hart, Riley’s bold and artistic best friend, while Fogelmanis played Farkle Minkus, the brainy son of the original series’ character Minkus (Lee Norris).
Since the show ended, the two have maintained a close friendship — even reuniting earlier this year for a lighthearted TikTok set to Carpenter’s song “Manchild.”
Fogelmanis has continued pursuing acting and modeling, most recently appearing as Conan Gray’s onscreen love interest in the music video for “This Song” (released in May). He also stars in Netflix’s My Life With the Walter Boys, an adaptation of Ali Novak’s 2014 Wattpad novel.
Carpenter is set to continue her Short n’ Sweet tour with another Madison Square Garden performance on Friday, October 31.
