Taylor Swift gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the “hysterical” filming of her Opalite music video, saying it’s a moment she “never wants to forget.”

Taylor Swift is giving fans a look behind the scenes of her star-packed “Opalite” music video.

On Feb. 13 — one week after the ’90s-inspired video premiered — Swift shared a collection of on-set photos on Instagram, saying she wanted to preserve every detail from what she described as a “hysterical” shoot. She also told fans she was excited to release two extended versions featuring extra dance rehearsals, cameo moments, camcorder footage, and playful retro styling.

The images show Swift and her co-stars, including Domhnall Gleeson and Graham Norton, reacting to footage on set alongside cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto. One scene references Norton’s comedic role as a salesman promoting a product called “Nope-Alite,” a spoof alternative to the fictional “Opalite” spray marketed in the video as a miracle solution for life’s problems.

Other behind-the-scenes shots capture Swift and Gleeson in matching sequined tracksuits while filming a humorous dance routine and shooting scenes inside a real, aging shopping mall in Croydon, England that was transformed into a nostalgic backdrop. Swift was also shown designing props and joking around with the cast between takes.

The video features several celebrity appearances, including Lewis Capaldi, along with actors Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and a surprise cameo from Cillian Murphy. Swift said the concept first came to her while appearing on The Graham Norton Show in 2025, after Gleeson mentioned he’d love to appear in one of her videos.

“Opalite” marks the second visual release from Swift’s 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, and like her previous video, it also includes dancers from her Eras Tour.
