Usher has launched his tour in Washington D.C. following a delay caused by a neck injury.

The singer was initially scheduled to begin his tour in Atlanta on Thursday, August 15.
Usher is finally on the road after a short delay!
The R&B icon, aged 45, launched his much-anticipated Past Present Future Tour with two sold-out performances at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on August 20 and 21.
Earlier this month, Usher announced he would be delaying the first three shows of his tour due to a neck injury sustained during rehearsals. The initial performance in Atlanta, scheduled for August 14, was postponed, followed by the subsequent two shows.
In his August 15 statement, Usher explained, “I had hoped that with physical therapy and medical treatment, I would be ready for opening night. Unfortunately, the injury has not yet healed, and my doctors have advised me not to perform this week.”
The rescheduled dates for the postponed shows are now set for December 9, 10, and 12.
During Usher’s two-hour performance in Washington, D.C., he delivered hits like “U Don’t Have To Call,” “Confessions,” “Yeah!,” and “Lovers and Friends,” along with tracks from his ninth album, Coming Home.
At the August 21 show, Usher featured local D.C. artists Wale, Raheem DeVaughn, and Sugar Bear from E.U. Wale performed “The Matrimony” and “No Hands,” DeVaughn sang “You,” and Sugar Bear took the stage with “Da’ Butt.”
Next, Usher will head to Baltimore for shows at the CFG Bank Arena on August 23 and 24. The North American leg of his tour will conclude with a three-night series in Atlanta in December.
The European segment of the Past Present Future tour will start on March 29 at The O2 Arena in London. After an eight-night run in London, he will continue to Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin before returning to London to wrap up the tour in May.
The artist revealed his plans for a career-spanning tour in December 2023, shortly after concluding his My Way: The Las Vegas Residency.
In February, he released his ninth studio album, Coming Home, and performed at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. For this performance, he featured guest appearances by Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, will.i.am, Lil Jon, and Ludacris during the NFL championship event in Las Vegas.
Additionally, Usher’s concert film, USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS, will be shown in approximately 2,000 theaters around the world from September 12 to September 15.
