Coldplay’s tenth studio album, titled Moon Music, was released on October 4.
Coldplay definitely knows how to make their fans feel appreciated.
On Wednesday, October 2, the band visited QVC to promote their new album, Moon Music. During their appearance, they performed several songs and dedicated some moments to their most devoted supporters.
In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE, the “Yellow” band took a call from a fan named Candy and sang a personalized song for her.
“I adore you so much. I admire what you stand for. I appreciate your love and positivity. You share that with the world, and you’re simply the best,” Candy expressed over the phone.
Frontman Chris Martin then mentioned they would “create a song” just for her.
While in the studio, the band started playing a melody, with Martin singing, “We love you, Candy,” over and over.
“We’re sending love to Candy / And to Candy’s poppa too / We’re sending love to Candy / We’re always loving you,” he sang.
Candy was thrilled by the special performance, expressing, “I hope and pray that I get to meet you all someday. I just want to let you know how much I love you, and nothing can compare to what you just did for me.”
Coldplay revealed Moon Music, their tenth studio album, in June, alongside the release of their first single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove.”
Moon Music comes after their 2021 album Music of the Spheres, which featured the global hit “My Universe,” a collaboration with BTS. This successful partnership marked the band’s first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 in 14 years.
Recently, Martin, 47, delivered a surprise performance at the 2024 Global Citizen Festival in New York City alongside Ed Sheeran.
Although Martin and Sheeran weren’t on the lineup, Gayle King introduced them as her “new favorite boy band sensation, Ed and Chris.”
In a September interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Martin mentioned that the band intends to release a total of 12 albums.
