The music legend’s partner, Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, took on the role of producer for her latest song, “Drop Top Sleigh Ride,” featured on her forthcoming Christmas album.

Cher remains a believer in love and is savoring every moment of it.

Ever since the iconic entertainer and her boyfriend, music producer Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, made their relationship public last year, it has been a subject of widespread interest and discussion.

However, Cher isn’t taken aback by all the attention. She quips, “Alexander has diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair, and he’s considerably younger. He’s a striking man.” Cher, aged 77, is referring to her 37-year-old partner. “Plus,” she adds, “I find it enjoyable to be intrigued by someone else’s love life!”

The two initially crossed paths “for about 15 minutes” one year ago at a Paris Fashion Week event, according to Cher’s recollection, and a mutual friend provided him with her contact information.

“It was genuinely surprising because people typically don’t give out my number,” Cher remarks. She’s set to release her inaugural holiday album, “Christmas,” on October 20. “I had been telling all my friends, ‘We’re too old to date considerably younger men, and I will never fall in love through text.’ So, I ended up doing exactly what I swore not to do!”

But Cher made an exception for him “because he’s truly exceptional,” she says.

“I dislike it when people label others as ‘special,’ but many people say I’m special, so I can confidently say that he’s special,” she adds. “No matter what the future holds, I relish my time with him. He brings laughter and joy into my life. What I’ve come to realize is that it’s never too late. If you looked at all the odds, you’d think, ‘Well, this is a lost cause.’ Yet, we’ve been together for a year, and even if it were just a year, it would have been worth it. I’ve had a wonderful time.”

Certainly, in the face of the internet’s keen interest in their relationship and the age disparity, Cher is opting for happiness.

She reflects, “If you have happiness, you can’t dwell on how long it’s going to endure. You need to focus on ‘How does it feel?’ and live in the present.”

Beyond their romantic connection, the couple also share a collaborative bond. Edwards produced her latest track, “Drop Top Sleigh Ride,” which will be featured on her Christmas album, alongside the lead single, “DJ Play a Christmas Song.”

Cher acknowledges Edwards as a fantastic producer, saying, “He’s a great producer.” She entrusted him to work on “Drop Top Sleigh,” which can be a challenging task when you’re in love with someone, handing over your record and saying, ‘Okay, go ahead and do what you want with it.’ But I had faith, and I was overjoyed with the result.”
