The iconic “Believe” singer, aged 77, is preparing to unveil her inaugural holiday album, titled “Cher Christmas.” She gave a sneak peek of the project to her 2.6 million Instagram followers on Thursday, sharing the festive album cover with the caption, “Are you spending Christmas with me?”
In the image, Cher takes center stage, standing atop a mound of snow and encircled by crimson and silver ornaments, each bearing her own reflection.
Known for her iconic style, the legendary artist chose a relatively understated ensemble, considering her glamorous standards, for the holiday album cover. She exudes an effortlessly cool vibe, with her hands tucked into her front pockets.
Cher’s attire features a white, low-cut dress shirt paired with light-wash jeans. To add a touch of dazzle, the jeans are adorned with glistening, diamond-like stones, and she complements them with eye-catching silver platform heels.
The renowned Burlesque star accentuated her look with a rosy eyeshadow that complemented her matching pink lip. She maintained her signature style with her long tresses flowing down in loose waves, parted in the middle.
On Saturday, Cher continued to generate excitement for the album by unveiling the Amazon-exclusive cover for “Cher Christmas.” In this fresh artwork, she transformed her iconic black hair into an icy blonde shade and replaced the silver “Cher” lettering with a metallic red hue.
In her caption for the post, she humorously quipped, “Christmas already? But I’ve got nothing to wear…”
On the Amazon-exclusive cover, Cher remains the central figure, donning a floor-length metallic gown that exudes an icy allure. Her look is enhanced by the application of shimmery blue eyeshadow on her eyelids. In this rendition, she stands on a snowy patch amidst a frozen body of water, adding a unique visual element.
A third and ultimate alternative cover is available on Cher’s official store. This version showcases the fashion icon playfully splashing around while wearing the same jeans and white shirt from the initial cover she revealed, set against a backdrop of a vibrant and colorful sunset.
While the official release date for “Cher Christmas” has yet to be revealed, the album is currently available for pre-order, and Cher herself is brimming with enthusiasm about it.
Describing the project on Good Morning Britain earlier this month, she remarked, “It’s a Cher Christmas album. It’s not your mother’s Christmas album.”
She went on to express her excitement, stating, “I’m really, really excited because there’s millions of people on it, and I’ve never had duets. I’ve never had people on any of my records.” Cher added that the collaborations were a “last-minute thing,” adding an element of spontaneity to the album’s creation.
While the accomplished Moonstruck actress didn’t disclose the names of the collaborating artists, she dropped hints that they are indeed “special” individuals.
“I mean, I’m in awe of all of them,” Cher shared, highlighting her admiration for the talent she’s had the privilege to work with on this unique holiday album.
