“At the moment, it’s a breeze,” the singer informs PEOPLE about completing arrangements for her forthcoming wedding with fiancé Jutes.

Demi Lovato isn’t feeling pressured about her impending wedding.

In a special interview with PEOPLE for this week’s edition, the “Heart Attack” artist (who uses she/they pronouns) shares that she’s incredibly relaxed about organizing her marriage ceremony with her songwriter partner Jutes.

“At the moment, it’s all smooth sailing. We’re considering getting a planner and checking out potential venues. So, it’s quite serene right now,” Lovato, 31, explains. “We still have plenty of time.”

While they acknowledge that there may be some stressful moments as the wedding day approaches, they’re embracing the excitement and anticipation of the event.

“I’m sure there will be moments of stress… when we realize we need to find a florist or take care of other details. And I might worry about the weather on the day itself, but I’m also genuinely looking forward to it,” Lovato shares.

One aspect of the wedding that the two-time Grammy nominee is particularly enthusiastic about is her bridal attire. “I definitely have a vision, but I won’t reveal it because I want [Jutes] to be surprised,” she hints. “I think keeping my dress a secret from him until I walk down the aisle is what I want — but we’re making plans.”

Back in January, Lovato informed PEOPLE that she had begun browsing for dresses and gathering images of potential styles and inspirations. “I’ve been considering it and saving them on my Pinterest profile. Going through all the motions,” she mentioned while attending the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection Concert in New York City.

Lovato and Jutes, who initially crossed paths in January 2022 while co-writing her song “Substance,” became engaged in December 2023. Jutes proposed with a custom-made pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring.

Lovato shares with PEOPLE that they selected the engagement ring together. “So I had an idea of what it would look like when it arrived,” she clarifies. “I just didn’t know when he would propose, and he completely surprised me. It was incredibly sweet and the most romantic gesture anyone has ever made for me.”

The “Sorry Not Sorry” artist expresses her fondness for wearing the ring ever since Jutes placed it on her finger.

“I’ve completely adjusted to wearing the ring. It felt right from the moment I first put it on,” she reflects.

Reflecting on their blossoming relationship, Lovato shared back in July how their bond with Jutes developed. “We started off as friends. We were friends for quite a while before deciding to enter a romantic relationship, after we both confessed our feelings for each other,” they revealed on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up. “We’re incredibly happy.”

In a heartfelt birthday message to Jutes last year, Lovato expressed their deep affection, referring to him as “my sweet angel.”

“I’ve been waiting my entire life to find you, and I’m excited to celebrate many more birthdays together,” they wrote in the Instagram post’s caption. “You’re a true dream come true, and I’m grateful to have you in my life.”
