During her Kellyoke segment on Tuesday, the daytime talk show host delivered a rendition of the song.

Kelly Clarkson, an avid admirer of Miley Cyrus’ hits, showcased her appreciation on Tuesday by performing one of the 31-year-old singer’s songs during her Kellyoke segment.

Taking center stage before her live audience, the 41-year-old American Idol winner delivered her unique rendition of Cyrus’ 2023 hit “Jaded.”

Wearing a vibrant, multi-color, color-block dress, Clarkson commenced her cover of the ballad, singing, “I don’t wanna call and talk too long / I know it was wrong, but never said I was sorry / Now I’ve had time to think it over / We’re much older and the bone’s too big to bury.”

As her band played in the background, the studio lights bathed the set in a soothing purple hue to enhance the ambiance.

Upon sharing a clip on YouTube, one enthusiastic commenter expressed, “GIRL. Keep doing your thang. The covers keep getting better and better!”

This marks the second occasion this month that Clarkson has chosen to cover one of Miley Cyrus’ recent songs. On January 11, the “Since U Been Gone” sensation performed another track from Cyrus’ recent releases, opting for “Used to Be Young” during the Kellyoke segment.

“Used to Be Young” was unveiled to the world in August 2023, a decade after Miley Cyrus released her No. 1 hit “Wrecking Ball” and delivered a controversial performance at the MTV VMAs with Robin Thicke. The song’s lyrics delve into Cyrus’ reflections on her past partying days and how she has evolved over time.

During that period, Cyrus and fellow Disney Channel alum Selena Gomez collaborated on a nostalgic joint effort to promote their new releases. The collaboration included a throwback clip featuring Gomez, 31, appearing on an episode of Cyrus’ popular television series, “Hannah Montana,” portraying the character of Mikayla Skeech, a rival to Cyrus’ character.

“@mileycyrus and I both have a SINGLE SOON and we are releasing on the same day,” shared the Only Murders in the Building actress on an Instagram Story. “We have been friends since we USED TO BE YOUNG. Excited for August 25th!”

Both “Used to Be Young” and “Jaded” are tracks featured on Cyrus’ most recent studio album, “Endless Summer Vacation,” released in March 2023.

On January 13, Miley Cyrus commemorated the one-year anniversary of the release of her single “Flowers,” which served as the lead track for the album’s subsequent release.

“One year ago today ‘Flowers’ started making people happy & that makes me happy,” she shared alongside a black-and-white Instagram post featuring herself posing with a flower.

“Love you. Thank you,” she expressed, signing off the message with, “XO MC.”

The single enjoyed eight weeks at the pinnacle of the U.S. Billboard charts and swiftly climbed to the summit of Spotify’s charts.

Cyrus took to social media to express her gratitude to both Spotify and her “amazing fans” for making the track the most-streamed song in a single week in the app’s history.
